Meet The Team

Ms. Jessi

Owner/Director

Jessi has a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Child Development from Washington State University. She previously taught at Aldersgate Christian Preschool for 4 years, interned in numerous pre-k to 3rd grade classrooms, and nannied for families in the Bellevue area. Jessi loves traveling, exploring the Northwest, painting, and has two Chihuahua's named Henry and Lloyd.

Favorite activity to do with the kids: Painting, reading, and playing outside.

Ms. Alli

Owner/Director

Alli majored in Human Development with an emphasis on Child Development and Early Childhood Education at Washington State University. She previously taught one and two year olds, at Country Village Day School. 

 Alli enjoys walking her dog Swish around Bellevue Park, spending time with family, and going to Seahawks games.

Favorite activity to do with the kids: Spending time outside, especially in the summer with picnics and sprinklers!

Ms. Brooke

Growing Tree Teacher

Ms.Brooke began working at The Growing Tree in March of 2016. She graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Psychology. She recently decided to make the break from the fashion industry and follow her passion for teaching. It feels like she has been with us since day one! Brooke loves crafting and spending time outdoors with her dog Olive!

Favorite activity to do with the kids: Messy art projects, especially painting

Ms. Katie

Growing Tree Teacher

Ms. Katie is working on her degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been in the field since graduating from high school, both nannying and teaching preschool. Katie enjoys cooking, drawing, and being outdoors! She loves teaching children that it is okay to get messy and hopes to instill a love for nature in the children she teaches. 

Ms. Hannah

Treehouse Teacher

Ms. Hannah has come back into the field of education after many years of working in retail with a hope and drive to develop into an inspirational educator. She has a BA in Merchandise 

Marketing, and is currently working on her Bachelors in Elementary Education at Western Governor's 

University. Although studies take up a lot of her personal time, her time with the students are her motivation! Hannah's favorite activities with the children are running around outside, reading stories, and dramatic play! 

Ms. Danielle

Treehouse Teacher

Ms. Danielle has a degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. She previously taught two and three year olds at Dizzy's Tumble Bus and Preschool along with being a teachers assistant at Snohomish County Head Start. Danielle enjoys hiking, playing basketball, reading and spending time with her family and cat named Gizmo! Her favorite activities to do with the kids involve art and anything active!

Ms. Emily

Treehouse Teacher

Ms. Emily is passionate about helping kids learn about the world and other cultures. Ms. Emily double majored in Psychology and Global Development at Seattle Pacific University. She taught English in Uganda for 6 months and Kindergarten in South Korea for 2 years.Favorite activity to do with children: Emily loves doing art and anything creative! 

Ms. Katie

Treehouse Teacher

Ms. Katie comes from a family of teachers, both sisters and mother all teach as well! She attended Western Washington University and eventually wants to complete her Education degree. She previously worked at Aldersgate Christian Preschool with Jessi, nannied, interned in different kindergarten classes, and has coached sports camps throughout the summers. Ms. Katie enjoys art, photography, and exploring the outdoors! As a teacher, she loves doing art with children and encouraging them to use their imaginations.  

Ms. Lisa

Pre-K Teacher

Ms. Lisa’s education is in Community Recreation Administration with a strong emphasis on Education and Child Development. She has been working in the ECE field since 1990. Gardening, traveling, and spending time with family are some of Ms. Lisa’s hobbies.

Favorite activity to do with children: Reading and collaborating on activities that encourage creativity, such as process art! 

Ms. Taylor 

Pre-K Teacher

Ms. Taylor has been teaching and nannying for the past 10 years, and most recently has been teaching at a British International Nursery in Thailand! She has a degree in Kinesiology from Western Washington University, but quickly realized this was not as fun and rewarding as teaching in the classroom. Ms. Taylor enjoys spending time outdoors, playing with her dog, and art! She loves to be creative with the kids and get messy! 

Ms. Amanda

Pre-K Teacher

Ms. Amanda majored in Human Development and Psychology, with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education and Development at Washington State University. She previously taught kindergarten and preschool, as well as social work. 

In her spare time, Ms. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, walking her dog Walter, and loving in her cat Julie. In the classroom her favorite activities are reading with the children and art! 

Ms. Kirsten

Pre-K  Teacher Assistant

Ms. Kirsten is new to the field of ECE, but as a mother to three year old son Carter, she has become inspired to work with children.  She believes that children always have something to teach adults and she can't wait to try something new. In her spare time, Ms. Kirsten enjoys reading, crafts and spending time with Carter. She loves to discover new things and learn along side children, whether it is looking at plants, insects, or animals, or learning names of dinosaurs and diggers! 

Ms. Hannah S

Substitute Teacher/ Intern

Ms. Hannah is working on a BA in Human Development, currently holding an Early Childhood Education degree. She has been teaching for the last 7 years, and previously taught at the Redmond Goddard school. Ms. Hannah has volunteered at numerous non-profit preschools. She enjoys hiking, baseball (especially the Mariners!), but seems to always have way too much homework!

Favorite activity to do with children: Explore the outdoors and share her love and appreciation for nature. 

Ms. Abbey

Substitute Teacher

Ms. Abbey spent her summers in high school and college volunteering at an orphanage in Taiwan. She has a BA in Theology: Educational Ministry, from Seattle Pacific University with an emphasis on Psychology and Child Development. Abbey nannied for 5 years before teaching at The Treehouse.

Abbey enjoys spending quality time with family and hiking around the PNW.

Favorite activity to do with the kids: Crafts that encourage them to get messy and feel accomplished!

*All of our teachers have been trained in CPR, first aid, and blood borne pathogens. They have negative TB tests,  have completed their food handlers permits and have passed state background tests. We require a minimum of 20 STARS hours (the state only requires 10 continuing education hours).
